Leerlingen van het Valuascollege en het Blariacumcollege namen het tegen elkaar op. De jury was unaniem: Yahyire Sharks (klas V1TH4) is de beste voorlezer van de regio Venlo! Hij mag woensdag 3 april in Roermond samen met andere Limburgse voorlezers strijden om de titel \u2018Voorleeskampioen provincie Limburg\u2019. De winnaar van die wedstrijd gaat door naar de landelijke finale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Voorafgaand aan de voorleeswedstrijd in de bibliotheek kregen alle deelnemers een workshop van jeugdboekenschrijfster Ineke Kraijo. Ook de overige brugklassers die hadden deelgenomen aan de schoolronde waren hierbij aanwezig. Mw. Kraijo liet de leerlingen een eigen verhaal schrijven en daagde hen uit om hun creativiteit te gebruiken. Met succes!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aansluitend was de zogenaamde <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">biebronde<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> van READ2ME! In de jury zaten Dide Schouren, voorzitter van de Community Librarian 10-16 jaar; Benjamin Elshout, muzikant en cultuurcoach; en Annemarie Staaks, (tekst)schrijver bij Bureau Stof en verhalenliefhebber.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoewel een aantal deelnemers het al eerder tegen elkaar had opgenomen, kwam er een nieuwe, onverwachte winnaar uit de bus: Yahyire. Hij was enorm blij verrast! Bij de schoolronde op het Valuascollege ontving hij nog de <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">wildcard<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; nu mag hij naar de provinciale finale.
